    The Female Lead is an educational charity that empowers women to take the lead in their own lives at every stage. We share stories of women who have found diverse paths to fulfilment and amplify their voices to inspire and stimulate personal and societal change. Through original content and teaching resources gifted to girls in education in the UK and USA we hope to stimulate debate, showcase role models and develop leadership skills.

  • Who founded The Female Lead?
    The Female Lead was founded by Data Science Entrepreneur Edwina Dunn OBE in 2015. Edwina Dunn’s heritage in data science informs our approach - to listen and collect data through research and storytelling, then respond with useful interventions.

    You can access our LIVE events by visiting our social channels directly. If you follow us, you can turn on notifications so you’re told when we go LIVE. You will never be required to click on an external link or provide credit card details to watch our LIVE events on our channels. We are aware of fake profiles running scams around LIVE events on LinkedIn. Please DO NOT click on any links, unless posted directly by The Female Lead’s verified account. We will never ask you to provide credit card details to watch these online events. If you see any comments or suspicious behaviours please report this directly to the platform or get in touch with any questions.
  • Do you sell merchandise?
    You can buy our first book on Amazon: The Female Lead: Women Who Shape Our World You can buy our second book on our website or on Amazon The Female Lead Volume 2: We Rise By Lifting Others We have a whole merchandise shop, for clothing, mugs and water bottles: You can buy The Female Lead merchandise on our shop. This is the only place available for original merchandise from The Female Lead. Official Female Lead merchandise (excluding books) is only available for purchase through our own site. Any other sites offering Female Lead merchandise are unofficial and not associated with The Female Lead. Please report any unofficial The Female Lead merchandise to info@thefemalelead.com
  • What products do you offer?
    We offer clothing including: t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies and accessories: mugs and water bottles.
  • Do you offer organic garments?
    We do! Our clothing products are made from organic cotton or recycled polyester.
  • Are your printing inks vegan friendly?
    Our inks are vegan and eco-friendly! That means: No toxins in the ink. No animal by-products used to create the ink, and not tested on animals. Safe for use on products for both adults and children. OEKO-TEX® certified.
  • What is your order turnaround time?
    Turnaround time is dependent on region, full details are available when you order. We aim to keep our turnaround times within 7 working days.
  • What are the wash care instructions for your products?
    For all garments, regardless of brand, style, or printing method, we advise you to follow these instructions for washing and drying: Wash at 30 degrees Celcius, inside out Do not tumble dry Do not iron over print
  • Do you use recyclable packaging?
    Yes, our packaging is 100% recyclable: garments will be packed directly into a weatherproof, kraft paper mailing bag. Mugs will be packed directly into a special smash-proof box.
  • Can I return a product?
    Each product is printed to order, so unless there is a fault with the item we don’t accept returns or exchanges.
